Brilliant and Beautiful : Comic Book Tattoo Tales Inspired

Over 80 of the best creators from every style and genre have contributed over 50 stories to this anthology featuring tales inspired by the songs of multi-platinum recording artist, Tori Amos! Featuring an introduction by Neil Gaiman and an extensive roster of talent, Comic Book Tattoo encapsulates the breadth, depth, and beauty of modern comics in this coffee table format book.

I hesitated to buy this book at first. I've sort of fallen away from my rabid Tori Amos obsession, but, I was curious about all the hype and press it's getting (in the Tori community) and found a copy on E-Bay.

It's stunningly beautiful. I admit, like many of Tori's songs, the message in some of the comics is a bit cryptic. Many of them are obtuse in their words, but gorgeous in their artwork. Some of them are silly in their artwork, but amazing in their story. Any way you slice it or dice it, this is a gorgeous optical orgy.

It's hard to not have the songs playing in your head while you're reading the book. I'm hoping they do another volume in the future because there are so many other songs that could be illustrated. Whether you love or hate Tori, you should pick up this book for the amazing artwork and the obvious love and attention they gave to her songs and her muse.

Crazy Tattoo Designs Review – Really Worth The Money?

Crazy Tattoo Designs is a tattoo gallery of over 30,000 tattoo designs. It is the largest collection available on the net, with the next biggest offering 6,000 designs. The website claims, "If We Don't Have It, No One Does!" The entire collection can be bought online and downloaded in .Zip files to be saved onto your pc.

Each category is contained in a .Zip file. With this number of designs you are going to need plenty of time to browse the collection as there is no specific search option to look for a specific tattoo.

All the obvious tattoo categories are covered in the collection, such as Butterfly, Celtic, Angel, Devil, Flower, Scorpion, Dragon, Heart and over a 100 more. But if you're into tribal tattoos this is really the place to look. There are literally thousands of designs with many variations of the same design. Crazy Tattoo Designs review and give background info about many of the designs.

A "Tribal Tattoo Designer" tool is also provided. This is a piece of software that lets you import, change, stretch and redesign your own tribal tattoo giving you your own unique design. Designs can be printed on a regular printer. You can then take the flash to your tattoo artist to get inked. This feature has just been added.

The package comes with additional ebooks. These include Got Ink, Getting Inked, Tattoos Unlimited, Tattoo Selection & Care Guide e-book and Chinese Names.

While there are free tattoo designs on the web, for the price of a couple of cds and considering you are going to have this tattoo for the rest of your life this is a pretty sound investment. There is no need to spend hours combing the net for designs as this is your collection to keep on your pc. If you are looking for a huge number of tattoos to browse to find the one that is perfect, Crazy Tattoo Designs must be the first choice.

Finding Libra Tattoos

I thought it would be next to impossible to find a collection of one-of-a-kind tattoos as I would have to trudge through God knows how many websites but to my amazement, I couldn’t have been more wrong. Some words of wisdom from my good buddy Jerry Chuan finally set me on the right path and helped me accomplish my mission with relative ease. Here are some tips that you should do well to remember when looking for unique Libra tattoos:

Don’t be a freebie seeker.
Chuan showed me the error of my ways so to speak, and made me realize that “free” and “unique” do not go hand in hand. Spending a tad amount of cash can really go a long way in helping you secure a design that will be a part of your body for the rest of your life. You wouldn’t want to fork out your hard-earned bucks for a laser surgery or cover-ups, right? Of course not! You’re better off spending the extra dough on a large pizza (sorry, can’t resist the pun) with all the trimmings to celebrate the end of your search for unique Libra tattoos.

Don’t spend too much
While it’s important to spend a little bit of cash in order to get top quality designs, it’s also important that you do not fork out more than what is necessary in light of the abysmal state of the current global economy, and the large number of paid tattoo gallery sites that charge a fee per design. Decent gallery sites always strive to provide value by constantly updating their databases with original creations for a low one-time price. This means that you can print out as many unique Libra tattoo designs as you like and bring them to your favorite tattoo shop or artist for further action. I don’t believe in paying 10 to 20 dollars for a mere design, and you should feel the same way too.

Avoid Google Image Search

Remember, the key word here is: UNIQUE. Refrain from using Google Image Search function unless you love being bombarded with designs that are so devoid of originality.

Reputable Online Galleries and Tattoo Magazines Can Make Things Easy For You

Online galleries like Tattoo Me Now and Chopper Tattoo have done a great job of furnishing tattoo enthusiasts worldwide with thousands of high quality, printable tattoo flashes. The former allows you the option of combining two or more tattoos into one design so you won’t be terribly hard-pressed to come up with some unique Libra tattoos that’ll make heads turn.

My buddy Chuan opined that tattoo magazines are the best for sourcing tattoo ideas. Although I prefer scouring online galleries, I do agree that you can easily find inspiration from looking at photos in tattoo magazines such as Skin and Ink, Tattoo Review, and Inked. These magazines contain a truckload of wild designs to help jump start your creative juice so don’t be surprised if you end up getting flooded with tons of ideas for creating unique Libra tattoos.

Pregnancy Tattoos or Henna

Tattoos had quite different purpose in the past, and in some cultures it still keeps its primal function, and that is the protection. Tattoo was used for protection rather than decoration; in particular for protection during pregnancy and birth when woman is exposed to most risk. During a pregnancy, the net-like pattern of the tattoo would expand across the stomach protectively, and figures god would sometimes protected women during childbirth, were tattooed on their thighs.

All of this was meant to keep children healthy in the womb and protect both mother and child during pregnancy and childbirth.

Cute Girl Tattoos

What used to be a mark of rebellion and strife is now considered a fashion accessory. While most tattoos are still applied to men (and bought by men), girls and women are also getting into the act. There are even cute girl tattoos.

Where men like to have their tattoos on the upper arm, or chest, or shoulder, most girls are aware that what they’re doing has to work with the somewhat more revealing fashions. Thus, a girl needs to think about whether or not a tattoo will look good with a bikini, or a prom dress, or an evening gown. Likewise, girls tend to be a bit more careful about making sure that a tattoo is concealable with professional or casual attire.

So, when looking for a cute girl tattoo, the first thing to think of is "where to put it" – on the back, between the shoulder blades is a common place, as is a circle around the upper arm, or a circle around a wrist or ankle. Another popular place is at the small of the back, right over the crease of the buttocks, because it can be hidden with a modest swim suit – or shown off with a low cut one.

Places to avoid getting a tattoo are on the face, or on the breast, or in between your breasts – the face is a fairly obvious place to avoid a tattoo, just because of the pain and difficulty concealing it. The upper chest is a bit less obviously a "bad place", however, it runs the risk of spoiling the tattoo because that skin shifts and stretches over time, and it makes it awkward to wear anything low cut.

As to what qualifies as a cute girl tattoo, there’s a wide range of options; everything from the now cliché’d "circle of thorns" to roses to butterflies. Pick an image that you’re going to find enjoyable and meaningful for years to come. When you’re getting the work done, be sure to ask to see the health inspector certification. A good tattoo parlor should be as clean as an operating room.

Popular Tattoo Designs for Girls

Research has shown that nearly 1 in 4 people have at least one tattoos. There are many designs to choose from, giving people a chance to be creative. Below, we will take a look at some of the most popular tattoo designs.

Tribal tattoos are among the most popular designs. They have been around for hundreds and hundreds of years and they are always evolving and becoming more and more complex with their designs and styles. Tribal tattoos can either be the traditional black style that cover the arms and the legs or the more colorful styles that can cover every area of the body. The colorful, more modern look is becoming more and more popular when compared to other styles.

The “old school” styles of tattoos are also popular. Anchors and things like that are making a great comeback these days and not just with sailors. These styles were very common and very popular back in the 60s. They are rapidly gaining their popularity back, as females and males are getting anchors and swallow designs tattooed on them more and more.

Lower back tattoos are the most common for women. The lower back tattoos is one of the most sexual and sensual areas on a women, making the ideal spot for a tattoo. Tribal designs are the most popular, although flowers, dragons, and other symbols make great tattoos as well. The lower back offers plenty of natural curves as well, which can make for an innovative tattoo. Often times, women tend to include tribal that spreads, covering the base of their hips as well.

Dragon designs are another popular type style of tattoos. They were popular in the past, and are now starting to get their popularity back. There are a lot of different dragons to choose from, including the mythical dragon and ancient Chinese dragon. Dragons are great on the chest for males and the back for females. Dragon tattoos can be virtually any size, although most males tend to have them cover one side of their chest or the upper region of their arms.

Celtic tattoos are also popular as well. They are mostly seen with those who have a Celtic heritage, although some with no Celtic heritage have them as well. They offer a variety of symbols and designs, providing universal meanings for everyone. Often times they are mixed with tribal tattoos to create a more innovative tattoo.

There are several other types of tattoos out there, although the above are the most common. Tattoos can be very creative and innovative; it all depends on what you want. If you’re looking to stand out and be truly creative – you can always have a professional tattoo artist design one for you.
